Terms of Use

These terms apply to the Escapango mobile app and website (the “Service”), provided by Nagy Robert (sole trader, Hungary), [SZÉKHELY CÍME], tax number [ADÓSZÁM], e-mail: support@escapango.eu. By using the Service you accept these terms.

1. The Service

Escapango helps you find and plan holidays: lakes, seaside, mountains, skiing, hiking, wellness, parks and sights, road trips with navigation, weather, and an AI travel assistant. Escapango is an information and planning tool; we are not a travel agency and do not sell trips, accommodation or tickets ourselves.

2. Account

Many features work without an account. With an account you must give a valid e-mail address and keep your password secret. You are responsible for activity in your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account).

3. Free use and Premium

  • The free version lets you browse a limited set of places and ask a limited number of AI questions per day.
  • Premium unlocks every place, unlimited AI planning and all road-trip features. It is offered as a Trip pass (one-time payment, 6 months, no renewal) and as a yearly subscription that renews automatically until cancelled.
  • Purchases are made through Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to their terms. Prices are shown in the store before you buy. A subscription can be cancelled in your store account settings at least 24 hours before renewal; refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules.
  • Right of withdrawal (EU): digital content is made available immediately after purchase. By buying you expressly agree to this and acknowledge that you thereby lose the 14-day right of withdrawal, to the extent permitted by law.

4. Information accuracy and AI answers

Place descriptions, seasons, swimming months, prices, opening hours, weather and other information are given with care but may be incomplete, out of date or wrong; prices are approximate. Answers of the AI assistant and AI-planned road trips are generated automatically and may contain mistakes. Always check important details (opening times, prices, safety conditions, road closures, avalanche and weather warnings) with the official source before you travel.

5. Navigation and safety

Turn-by-turn directions are for guidance only. Always follow traffic rules, road signs and the actual road conditions. Do not operate the phone while driving. Outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing and swimming are at your own risk; respect local warnings and your own abilities.

6. Third-party links and offers

The Service links to third-party websites (official sites, ticket and activity providers, hotels, restaurants). We are not responsible for their content, prices or services; contracts are made directly between you and them. Some links are affiliate links: we may receive a commission, at no extra cost to you.

7. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service: no automated mass access or copying of the database, no attempts to break security, no unlawful or abusive content in AI questions.

8. Intellectual property

The app, its design, texts, images and place database are protected by copyright. You may use them for personal, non-commercial travel planning.

9. Liability

We provide the Service with reasonable care but cannot guarantee that it is always available or free of errors. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or for losses resulting from inaccurate information or third-party services. This does not limit liability that cannot be excluded by law, nor your statutory consumer rights.

10. Changes and termination

We may change these terms or the Service; we will tell you about important changes in the app. If you do not agree, you can stop using the Service and delete your account.

11. Law and complaints

Hungarian law applies, without depriving consumers of the protection of the mandatory laws of their country of residence. Questions and complaints: support@escapango.eu. You may also turn to the consumer protection authority or the out-of-court conciliation body of your country of residence (in Hungary: the competent békéltető testület).
